Hydrosols are not just the addition of essential oils with water but rather the co-product of the distillation process (fresh leaves, fruits, flowers, wood and other plant materials). They are also called floral waters, plant waters, hydrolats, or hydrolates. They contain 1% of the essential oils.
Face Toner
Rose hydrosol is the rosy water left after distilling roses. It can be sprayed on the face or used as a refreshing mist, while rose essential oil is much more concentrated.
In this face toner, I have added Lavender and Witch Hazel hydrosol to help calm the mind, and help reduce inflammation.
Recipe:
2.5 oz Rose hydrosol
1 oz Lavender hydrosol
0.5 oz Witch hazel hydrosol
